The annual Catholic Quiz Bowl needed to be re-scheduled during this year’s frigid Catholic Schools Week. On Friday, two teams were formed from students in each school level. The format of the event centered around students answering questions about Catholic faith and doctrine, vocabulary, Scripture and practices.
Teams received two points if the student could answer the question without assistance; one point if the student asks for possible choices. Participants rotated giving each team member several opportunities to answer questions.
At the primary level, many of the students “took the risk” and attempted to answer their question without a choice. The intermediate level competition saw many ties and lead changes throughout the event.
Teams based on eighth grade homerooms (and others) competed at the junior high level. . In the final round, students were not able to come up with the correct answer to some school trivia questions, with Team Anhalt coming out on top over Team Breunig.
