The Class of 2009 completed a part of their journey of faith when they celebrated Graduation Day on June 5th. The day began with a special breakfast prepared by parents of the grads. The junior high staff presented the graduates with various awards as the student body joined in applause and recognition. The students received a collection of their “God Pictures” from each grade they attended Holy Angels. Following the awards, the soon-to-be graduates watched part of a memory videotape before heading to church for a last practice (they made it through in record time!).
Several students provided prelude music and song before the Graduation Mass. The opening procession featured memories from each of the grades. The Mass concluded with the awarding of diplomas and recognition of students who had received special awards.
Graduates and the families and friends gathered in the Walnut Room for a reception provided by the seventh grade class. The evening concluded with a dance and late night snacks. The graduates also enjoyed a lock-in and a trip to the Dells thanks to the efforts of several parents.
