The fifth graders completed their participation in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program and celebrated with a graduation ceremony. The students were recognized for their efforts to learn about the effects of drugs and ways to resist something that could be harmful. Speakers from the local law enforcement and judicial branches of government encouraged student to make good decisions moving forward. Several students also spoke at the ceremony and reflected on what they had learned. The program was presented by Detective Hope Demler of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
