The graduating Class of 2019 began seriously “counting the days” during morning announcement a couple of weeks before their final day at Holy Angels. Before reaching graduation day, the eighth graders spent a day at St. Michael’s Parish Center where they took time to reflect on their own faith journey and to ponder the next steps into the future.
Graduation morning began with a breakfast (provided by parents of the class), the presentation of awards and recognitions, and a tongue-in-cheek reading of the future exploits of each of the graduates.
The prelude in song to the evening’s Graduation Mass was provided by several students. Following the liturgy, graduates were presented with diplomas. Final recognition was again given to several of the graduation as well as the presentation of two memorial awards.
The evening concluded with a reception in the Walnut Room, presented by the 7th grade class. This was followed by a dance sponsored by parents of the graduates, which included several additional activities and refreshments.
