“By wisdom is a house built, by understanding is it made firm;
and by knowledge are its rooms filled.” Prov 24:3-4
“And over all of these, put on love.” Col 3:14
“You are members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
with Christ himself as the capstone.” Eph 2: 19-20
The theme for the 2016-17 school year is: “Let Us Build a House Where Love Can Grow”. As we remodel classrooms and hallways to create an environment for the 21st century, we are mindful that all of that effort is not just to build a nice looking place. Rather, it is by improving the learning environment, that wisdom may flourish and understanding may grow and become firm. Knowledge can be pursued with greater vigor and new classrooms can be filled with exciting learning and excited learners.
And yet, wisdom, understanding and knowledge are simply not enough if love does not grow within our walls. We truly are members of the household of God when we build upon the rich foundation of the apostles and prophets and those who have gone before us here at Holy Angels…our ultimate goal being a relationship with the “capstone” of our faith, Christ himself.
