The Beginning of the Year Open House was the first opportunity for most families to see the results of Phase 2 of the 21st Century Classrooms Project. The most noticeable change was the replacement of old small lockers with new lockers which provided much more space for students’ belongings. The brighter decor was also quite obvious in the main hallway.
In addition, the K4 classroom and the junior high science lab received makeovers during the summer.
The first day of classes began with the traditional picture-taking and last hugs before entering the building for an exciting day. However, it was clear that the 8th grade boys were more interested in a quick pickup basketball game in lieu of the photo-op!
