Olympic Day Dodges the Rain

The forecast for the 28th annual HA Olympic Day called for rain and it looked like students would be running and jumping between raindrops. As the starting time approached (after cleaning desks and lockers), the raindrops vanished and all was good! Several of the events were moved inside just in case and the students crowded the gym for this year’s obstacle course. The high jump’s indoor location in the Walnut Room provided excitement while waiting in line for lunch items.

One of this year’s new events saw just how fast students could get dressed in a clothing relay. From most reports, it seemed like most the the sizes were just a bit off!!! In the end, all stayed dry (except for a few seventh graders who had to “empty” some bottles from the water relay!).
