Sharing Christmas Cheer

This year’s primary teachers’ retreat proved very rewarding while serving others.  On the evening of Thursday, December 10th, the primary teachers served about 40 family members associated with Washington County’s “Family Promise” program, a community-based approach to solving homelessness.

Cookie decorating, crafts, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, goodie bags, as well as a fine dinner were provided thanks to the teachers’ efforts.  Many thanks to our local McDonalds, Pick ‘n Save, Starbucks and Texas Roadhouse for their generous donations to the evening and to “Family Promise” board members and representatives who joined in the festivities which were held in the Walnut Room.
