The sixth graders began their year by getting out in the woods and experiencing God’s wonderful gift of creation. The annual Camp Gray Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) gives sixth graders a chance to reflect on their role in being good stewards of the environment.
During the two-day experience, students discovered the tiny organisms that populate a march, helped to control invasive species (as in plants!), and slogged through a stream. They also had fun with archery, canoeing, and many games.
Opportunities for prayer and vespers, sharing meals, and solo-hiking also provided students with new insights about their place in a faith community.
Thanks to Mrs. Gunnare, Mrs. Sternig, and Mrs. Arndt for participating in this year’s camp experience.
