The annual Student-Faculty Basketball featured the eighth grade boys taking on the faculty (and a few others!). Much of the first half featured a tight matchup with neither team taking an advantage. The students surged in the third period and maintained their lead for a convincing win.
The event included much more than a basketball game. In celebration of principal Mike Sternig’s birthday (the students were treated to a “no school” day on Wednesday), students presented their principal with a check for $767.67 to be donated to Catholic Relief Services.
During breaks after the first and third periods, the Holy Angels Dance Squads performed their routines.
And of course, the first graders (attired as centenarians) helped the school celebrate Day 100. After they finally made it out to center court (it took a while with all of the walkers and canes), the first graders led the Day 100 cheer as the rest of the student body joined in.
